Stand Down

Cine-Teatro Garrett, Sala Principal (Main Room)

"Stand Down" is not "Up," it's something else. It is a man's memories, the real ones and the other ones. It is the childhood memories with the eyes of now. It's the first silences, which would come to speak louder than the loudest words. A journey on stage between Spain and Portugal.

Starting from two short stories by Félix Albo, "Secretos de Familia" and "Un Roble en un Cementerio", Ángel shows us in this "Stand Down" why dying of love can only be the beginning of a story. Because "Stand Down" is Life on the prowl and laughter, sometimes inside out.

Ángel Fragua was born in Madrid in the same year as Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Eminen or Catarina Furtado. He begins his theatrical studies in 1989 going through different schools until 1996. For two years he tries to enter the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Madrid, but since he has difficulty speaking in public, he does not pass the interviews and is not accepted.
