SCHULD

Cine-Teatro Garrett, Sala Principal (Main Room)

Synopsis

“This is how the change in meaning begins, whereby guilt becomes debt, (...) the spirit of the mystical duty of reimbursement.” (1)

“A weight on a body. What weight is that – that of reimbursement? What body is this – exposed to the tacit and contemporary self-exploitation – insatiable, accumulating guilt and debt? Schuld, simultaneously guilt and debt in German, is invisible and collective physical action, fate heavy as a cloak that covers all those who do not surrender to “entrepreneurial subjectivity”. (1)

“Leave the thorn/pick the rose/You will look for/your pain” (2)

(1) Peter Sloterdijk, Esferas I
(2) Benedetto Pamphili, Lascia la spina, cogli la rosa
