Synopsis
Labaq is a "pop caress" - as defined by Rolling Stone. A recognized composer and producer, they are one of the exponents of contemporary Brazilian popular music, delivering a performance that ranges from intimacy and delicacy to fury, antagonisms, and dynamics that make it difficult to categorize teir music in a single box.
Biography
A "pop caress", as Rolling Stone defined it. Larissa flows between the organicity of MPB, electronic pop and its experimentalisms and having already stepped on stages such as Ronnie Scott's in London, SummerStage in New York or Teatro Solís in Montevideo, composer, singer and music producer is one of the exponents of the new Brazilian contemporary music. Taking the step towards a solo career, Labaq released "Voa" (2016), "Lux" (2019) and varied singles, in a collection of comparisons to Bon Iver or Camille and the attempt of Spanish critics to define it as "somewhere between Björk and Caetano". They performed in 19 countries, counting hundreds of shows between the Americas and Europe in the last 10 years and are rooted in Portugal since 2020, where they found the port to enhance their knowledge and experiences in the most diverse fronts of musical creation and in 2022 integrates the trio Fado Bicha, as side musician and collaborator.
