FORADADA is inspired by the legend of the Foradada rock of Montserrat. It is a daring piece that uses a hybrid language, where the protagonist navigates through their own prisons. With an uncomfortable body, wicker baskets, acrobatics and skin, it proposes a song to dissidence, claiming the right to exist.
Àfrica Llorens was born in Igualada 35 years ago and grew up in Tous (a small town in Anoia) until he was 22 years old. Then she went to the city to study, where she fell deeply in love with circus, with which she has made an artistic career to this day. Along the way she met Amer, with whom she learned the hand-to-hand technique and created several short pieces.
They are known as ENVÀ, the show where they mix 250 kg of straw and 125 kg of human mass. With Amer and thanks to ENVÀ, she created her first long play with which they traveled throughout Catalonia, the peninsula and Europe for 5 years, performing in festivals, theaters, cities, meetings, artists, spaces, cultural initiatives... which will enrich the artistic, professional and personal vision of Africa. Before ENVÀ she participated as an artist in the 19è circ d'hivern d'Ateneu 9 Barris and in the show BLOCK by NofitState Circus and Motionhouse, in the show Möbius by the company XY and currently as a performer in the show La Levitation Reélle by the company L'Immediat.
