Cine-Teatro Garrett, Subpalco (Understage)
The beat and rhythm are the most prominent elements of this voyeuristic experience that grants access to an artist’s rehearsal room. «Lunares (polka dots) are a habitat, they are a window through which to look. The Puma is my adolescence with access to understanding the codes of Hip Hop. My post-adolescence has given me a contemporary perspective from which I can observe, coexist, and let the Puma watch and relate to the flamencos.» Adrián Vega takes advantage of the proximity of digitalization to explore the format of the performative video blog, in which the virtual and the real converge to stimulate curiosity and delve into the idea of the creative process as an artistic result.
Adrián Vega is a choreographer who graduated from the Institut del Teatre, is a guest teacher at the Professional Dance Conservatory in Barcelona and is considered a post-hip-hop artist. His choreographic interest lies in the hybridization and speculation of movement languages. It is in this space that he feels comfortable generating patterns of improvisation and instant composition, which he has taken from breakdance, contemporary dance and flamenco. Her work focuses on the relationship with the ground, the inversion of the body, the beauty of visual effects and sound exploration.
