Synopsis

This is a show that traces the fictional biography of an actor who, 20 years after starting his career, is simply tired of only knowing success. He rebels against his successful past because he feels isolated in this condition. He rebels because he has always done what he wanted. It is an original text written with the contribution of different authors and presented between theater and cinema as media, on the borderline between truth and lies, appearance and reality. — Nuno Preto

Biography

Nuno Preto was born in 1981 and studied ceramics at the Soares dos Reis Art School. He studied acting at ESMAE. He was a founding member of Mau Artista, where he collaborated as an actor, director and playwright. He has worked as a performer with different directors and projects, and was part of the Teatro da Palmilha Dentada. He collaborated with Teatro Oficina from 2017 to 2020 as a trainer and as an actor in the shows Teatro da Alma and Arte da Comédia, directed by João Pedro Vaz, and directed Retábulos in the context of the Gil Vicente Festivals.
He collaborated with the Porto Museum as an associate creator in the Escuta and Deriva programs and in the coordination and creation of content for Rádio Estação in 2020, 2021 and 2022. With Samuel Martins Coelho, he has a soundscapes project. With Daniela Cruz, he created the collective ESPAÇO INVISÍVEL, a structure for creation and cultural mediation with which he carries out different artistic creations and implements participatory programs.
